AHi, im new to this and making cakes. I plan to make a 6 lair rainbow cake for my wee boys 2nd birthday in march. I want to finish the cake in royal icing to give it a nicer finish but I also want to stick on some fondant letters and shapes with my little boys name age etc... What's the best thing I could use to get these to stick well? Thank you.

Thinned out royal icing would make a good glue....to attach fondant shapes and letters. HTH
