I have an order due friday. I just got done baking my cakes. One of them os exceptionally moist and im afraid the slightest handling might vlbreak or crumble it. Is there something I can do to firm it up a bit considering its baked and cooled? I eventually have to ice it with ganache and cover with fondant. Pls help!

I think the ganache and the fondant will hold it all together nicely.

Wrap it up and freeze it a few hours. Annabakes is right, the ganache will hold it together, but having it frozen will keep it from crumbling when you handle it to put it on your round & fill.

Cake too moist!

I don't think you can get one too moist, armpits get too moist sometimes, but cake never.

bring on the humid damp cakes.
