Hi there.

I am in search of a really good, firm but still moist vanilla cake, which can stand the weight of being stacked and can be doubled easily to make a larger cake please.

I have tried a few, but they ended up either being too moist and soft or dry and crumbly.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't know if you are wanting it to be from scratch but I make the WASC cakes and my clients love how moist they are and they are very firm, I stack them every time with no problem. You can find tons of the different WASC recipes right here on CC

dominique123"

.....basic sponge or butter cake....

search for that thread.  I posted my butter cake recipe.  It's almost a firm  pound cake, but just a bit softer.

My cut-n-paste function is not working, sorry.
