ACould anyone tell me how to preserve fondant decorations?
They were made by a bakery and the gal wants to save them.
Thanks! Melissa
AKeep them at room temperature in a non-humid area. Some people will put them in one of those little display domes if it's something like a flower arrangement. You basically want to keep them away from dust and humidity, and DO NOT reuse them on another cake, if that's what she's thinking! That's like reusing a radish flower garnish from your salad.
AMy mom has a bunny figure I made for an Easter cake like 4-5 years ago in a closed hutch (display type) and it has barely even faded I was just looking at it again over Xmas and can't believe how well it's held up, but she also has the sugar panorama eggs that my grandmother made before I was born (34 ish ) years ago and they are perfect too!!
