AHi everyone! I am very new to this site so bear with me please. :-) I have a returning customer who is asking for an Irish car bomb cake. It would just be an 8" round but I'm not sure what I should charge as the recipe cakes for guiness, baileys and irish whiskey.

Has anyone else made this same cake and what did you charge?

Thank you so much for any help!!!

First thing to do is calculate the cost of your ingredients, including the liquors. That way you'll know how much it costs you. Then price this cake the same way you would any of your other cakes.

Yep...what Mimi said...and if you don't do this cake too often...or drink that booze...it will be expensive on your part to buy all 3 of those bottles of booze...for one cake.   I try to stay clear of alcohol cakes unless it is something popular that I make a lot...like a Kahlua cake.  I make them all the time so I always have Kahlua in the house...plus I like to take a nip occasionally! :-D

I looked at the thread title. Initially thought it referred to a cake in the shape of a vehicular IED.:???:

So the Irish Car Bomb is a drink. One that curdles if not consumed quickly. Not sure whether I find the name or the concept more utterly dreadful.:-o8O

AI wanted to chime in to say that if you don't drink the remining of that booze, I'm willing to accept donations. Cause I'm a good samaritan like that.
