I have seen tutorials on how to make a heart inside a cake like the one on cakecentral but I was wondering if it is possible to have scattered small hearts inside instead of one large one in the middle?

I don't see where she exactly explains how to do the tiny hears inside, but you could e-mail Amanda (I Am Baker) and ask her. She's very nice.
