AHello I am stuck on how to make a hot air balloon cake. The ones lying down yer can do that but the floating ones what will I need to support the cake floating?

use a very large plate on the bottom to anchor it down--don't get it too grandiose and you should be fine--

 

you could make the basket bigger than the tube--put a 'flame' in the tube so it plays to the effect you're trying to achieve--

 

i mean it's not exactly floating but that's about as close i can think unless you build something to hang it from--in fact there are those upside down stands somewhere online--see if i can find them...brb if i can...
