Hi All,

I'm new to cake making - so while doing some reading online - I've read that it is a big no no to put cakes in the fridge?

I cooked a Utility Cake yesterday ( for a Barbie Cake) and after it cooled - I  glad wrapped it and put it in the fridge, it was in there for approx 10 hours.

I thought that because of eggs and milk etc, it would go off.

Anyhow, I've taken it out of the fridge now, and don't need to decorate and deliver it until Saturday morning.

I guess what I want to know is - should I just go ahead and bake another cake? or will this one be ok? Is there some way I can salvage this cake?

And more importantly, will it still be ok for Saturday if I leave it on the bench??

Thanks heaps for any advice!

AMake sure you wrap the cake tight, or you will taste the freezer burn
