Silicone liners / pan THEN paper liners?

Hello,

As many beginners apparently I’m having troubles with the cupcake liners. They stick to the cupcake plus they become transparent and lost a bit of their color.

I’ve already read different articles in order to solve this issue (oven temperature, grease proof liners, etc.) but I’m looking for a 100% sure technique. Using a cheap one for the baking and a nice one once the baking is finished seems ok but I think that’s too bad to “lost” money for 2 liners per cupcake. The other solution would be to use silicone liners or pan and then, once baked, transfer the cupcakes in a paper liner.

> May I have your opinion and know how does it sound? Have you ever tried to do this? Is it better to use silicone liners or pan?

Thank you for your help!

I just use regular cupcake pans with liners.  It sounds like the problem is with your liners.  Look for greaseproof liners, the tulip ones are pretty and greaseproof.
