AHi I am trying to make a crusting american buttercream, but whit the new changes in the shortening I am having a hard time trying to foun hi-ration shortening, I just found non-hydrogenated is this the same?
ANon-hyrdogenated shortening (typically 100% palm oil or coconut oil) is not the same thing as high ratio shortening. If you need trans-fat-free high ratio shortening look for Sweetex Z.
AThank you, but I can't find swetex also, the turkey cake is goin to have to wait for next year :D
AOr did you think can I make crusting buttercream just whit shortening and butter? Or just shortening?
A
