This is the first time I am making a cake that is not for family.  A friend asked me to make a cake for an anniversary party.  The cake is only two tiers.  On Thursday morning I baked the cakes and Thursday night I torted the 10" bottom layer.  I put a buttercream dam on each layer and them filled the layers with pineapple preservers and crumb coated.  Tonight I plan to frost and decorate the layers and stack the 8'' on top of the 10.  My friend plans on picking up the cake tomorrow morning about 11am, but the cake will not be served until 6 or 7pm.  My question - Will the pineapple filling (since it was applied Thursday) make the layers of the cake soggy?  Please help with this problem.. I do have time to bake another 10" if I start soon.  Thank you for all your help...
