My sister is expecting Baby #2 and wants me to do a cake that we can have at Thanksgiving for her to announce the pregnancy.  I don't know what to make.  Any cute suggestions?  I am also doing all the Thanksgiving cooking so I don't have a lot of time to do this, but I want to make it fun.  Their last name is Bell, so it might be fun to incorporate that.  They have a 4 year old daughter already.  Baby is due in June.  Please help!!!

Not sure if you work with fondant or gumpaste, but you could do something like how people take pictures of their shoes and have a pair of baby shoes at the end…maybe make all the shoes out of gumpaste this week, that way they're dry. You won't have to worry about making anything difficult next week since you are doing food for Thanksgiving!

You could make a cute cake and stick all the shoes on it. I found this picture of how someone announced their second pregnancy with the shoes. Might be adorable on a cake!

How about a cake that's all Thanksgivingy on the outside in browns, oranges, and yellows, but when it's cut open, it's marbled pink and blue?

Make a MardiGras King Cake.... you know.. with the little plastic baby inside.  Here in Louisiana everyone would 'get it'.. lol... Not so sure about MardiGras in Ohio.

People would be puzzled as to why there is a Mardi Gras cake at Thanksgiving?????  BECAUSE THERE IS A BABY INSIDE!

You could do an Anne Geddes style cake with a baby on a pumpkin.

A cigar cake adds a creative and manly flavor to the party.

Please tell me that's the SHAPE, not the FLAVOR!

And is it hard to keep lit?

How about a teddy bear holding baby shoes....or wearing a t shirt that says "we're pregnant....again!"

Make sure to post it!
