Hi all,

I am just wondering what people are requesting this year for the holidays? I am not licensed or selling yet, but I am researching and trying to determine trends.  It seems like Red Velvet and anything with bacon (yuck), are highly popular right now.

So what are you seeing in your business, as the most popular cake/cupcake flavors?

Thanks,

Kathi

I'm not a business but here is what I find myself CONSTANTLY baking:

Chocolate with Oreo filling

Lemon with lemon curd filling

It doesn't matter what time of year.  That's all I bake really.  If you do a search, you can find threads where people have thrown ideas around for seasonal flavors.

AI always look at the seasonal flavors offered at popular trendy places like Starbucks. Right now I offer pumpkin cake, apple spice, chocolate mocha with peppermint buttercream, and my fave - egg nog cake! I had a customer who " doesn't really like cake" tell me the egg nog cake was the best cake he has ever eaten.

AI just did some cupcakes for an engineering firm holiday party and they all seriously freaked out aboutthese cinnamon cupcakes. I added some cinnamon and molasses to the buttercream

sometimes you just can't beat good quality vanilla.  It makes everything taste wonderful.
