AHi... My son is three next month and obsessed with all things in the ocean. I've designed his cake. Just a number three (nothing too tricky) but I really want a killer whale popping up and leaning up against it. I have looked everywhere for a how to for a killer whale/orca butmI'm coming up empty handed. Anybody help. It's the mixture of black and white I'm concerned about. Don't want it grey haha. The shark should be easier I suppose. Any help greatly appreciated x

Depending on how big you want it, I might start with a rice cereal treats base.  Make the general shape of the whale, and cover it in black fondant.  Cut out the white pieces/shapes, and glue on with a little water or tylose glue in the right spots.  If you're worried about the black showing through, you can put the white on first, or cut each color to shape and place over the rkt.  Use pictures of real killer whales as a guide and reference.

google sculpted cakes tutorials pintrest. there is a killer whale cake done on it you will get the idea.  I also agree that it should be done in black fondant with white fondant details added after.
