ADo any of you use a cricut to cut out your fondant decorations? If so, which model is your machine and what do you have to have to go with it! Example: paper, ink, etc. :D Thanks!
I own a cricut for doing my scrapbooking. I would never use is for fondant. Fondant is to sticky for a regular cricut and would gum up the knife and gears. With a regular cricut machine you can use any paper you want as long as its not to thick. You just have to cut it to size to fit into the machine. I'm not sure if there are cake decorating models that would be made just for cake decorating. Either was those machines usually run around $200.00 and you will probably never use it enough to get your money back. Buy cutters for shapes you cut out all the time on ebay. For those odd pictures you may need to cut out print off a picture from the internet, cut it out and use it as a template to cut out your fondant.
I hope this was helpful!
