How do I make a turkey cake?

I have looked everywhere and cannot find a tutorial like I'm wanting. I found this pic that says it has a tutorial at parentsconnect.com but that website is shut down. Please someone help. This is going to be for a 1 year old birthday that happens to fall on Thanksgiving! Or if anyone has any other ideas? It doesn't have to be like the pic I would just like some guidelines to follow! Thanks so much!

Hi, this might help you. I did not watch it, but it looks like you can learn how to make the body and then the pic you show , you can go from there.

Thanks! I watched it and noticed he used just an 8 inch bundt cake. Do you think I could do the same effect on a much larger cake, like 10 in? It needs to feed a lot of people!

I couldn't find how to make this cake anywhere either! I did create my own though. I couldn't get it to stand but it was cute! I used a 12' round cake that was chocolate ( dark meat) and half of the ball cake pan in yellow ( light meat) I cut about an inch or 2 off of the bottom of the cake to make the circle have a straight edge. i cut some off of the round cake also. I placed the ball cake on top of the round cake. I did a chocolate buttercream crumb coat. For the feathers I piped in a rainbow of red yellow and orange then blended them together. with a tooth pick. for the head I used part of the cake that I trimmed off . I used a Star filling method to give texture to the body. Add eyes and the beak and your turkey is done. I have a picture of my rough first one that I completed. I'll try to post it. I'm redoing it today now that I know what to do. Good Luck!

I saw these directions last week and thought it was both clever and easy.  Buddy just uses bundt cake and a lot of frosting.

Sorry about the repeat but this site gives a step by step.
