AI'm just starting out making cakes, I'm pretty good so far my chocolate cake is amazing and stays incredibly most for days... I need a great white cake recipe.. I tried omitting the coco from my chocolate cake, I liked it but it turned really yellow...help!!

AThe White Almond Sour Cream cake recipe in the recipes on this site can't be beat! I never use the almond flavoring as I am not a an of almond. I just replace it with more vanilla.

AThe best thing is trial & error. What is a terrific white/yellow/vanilla cake for me might not work very well for you. This seems to be the most difficult cake to get just right. It took me years to find and tweak one to my liking, and I don't think I'm *quite* there yet. Learn the science of baking, an you will gain a better understanding of what will make a cake more moist, finer crumb, better flavor, etc.
