AHi! So I found a picture of a cake I liked here on cake central but I couldn't figure out how to comment on the post. I want to make this cake but I don't know how many layers would look good. It seems like a fairly tall cake so I was thinking 3 two inch layers. I need to feed about 65 people (leftovers are great). Also which pan size would you recommend? I was thinking a 12 inch and a 8 inch but that was going to be with 2 two inch layers. Thanks.

That looks like a double 8/10..which serves 62.   A double 8/12 serves 80.   Personally, unless the topper is big, I do not like 8" cakes as my top tier.  But it doesn't look bad in this design...if in fact, that is an 8/10.    Is that a 6/8???  Fondant makes cakes look bigger (to me).

AIt could be a 6/8 I have no idea but I know that won't be enough for everyone so I'll try the 8/10 and see how it works! Thanks for the speedy reply :). Do you have any idea how I would be able to contact the original poster of this cake? I know the username and when I google the cake it brings me to her cake and there are comments but I can't seem to be able to comment
