Stupid question, but I need to transfer this Betty Crocker yogurt cupcake recipe into a 9 inch or so birthday cake. Thanks! Also, I want to cut the cake into half and put some crunchy chocolate filling inside, but will the yogurt cake be too moist and you can't cut it? Also, will it be too sweet if I frost the whole cake with Raspberry Cream Cheese frosting? Thanks a million! I am a beginner, so please help

Cupcakes

1

box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® lemon cake mix

1

container (6 oz) Yoplait® Original 99% Fat Free raspberry yogurt

3/4

cup water

1/3

cup vegetable oil

3

eggs

Oh, and will this frosting recipe cover the 9 inch cake? I have so many questions! :(

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Thanks!

If it was me I'd just use the same recipe. You might have to double it as you need 5 1/2 cups of batter for a 9" pan according to Wilton. Make two 9" layer round cakes (2" thick) and put the chocolate filling in between. Make sure you make a dam for your filling:
