I am making a wedding cake covered in ganache. I am trying to get it smooth. I have used white chocolate. I want it perfect and have tried a hot palet knife and cake scraper. It's smooth but not perfect. This layer wont be decorated so I cant hide the imperfections.

Question: has any one tried to pour a melted ganache or glaze over an already ganached cake?

When you pour the melted ganache over the other ganache it melts it, so you loose your edges. It doesn't work for me. If I let it cool down before pouring, it doesn't coat the sides of the cake nicely.

I have tried it and it doesnt work for me.  You can try putting on another layer of ganache and see if you can get it smoother
