AI'm wanting to make fondant/gumpaste/rice crispy treats ballet shoes topper for a cake. Anyone have any experience with this? How'd you do it? I'd like it to look like this picture.

as far as rkt--i model while it's warm--if i make a lot i keep it over hot water if i need more time--mine have to set overnight to get the marshmallow firm--i use one less cup of rk so it's stronger--you might want to fashion a bit of a mold so they set overnight--or even wrap it in buttered aluminum foil to hold it well--then carve it to get the exact shape you want--use a micro plane to smooth off the lumps

There is a pattern and tips in this old thread. No RKT needed, just gumpaste. I used the template and it's great, just resize it for the size you need for your cake http://cakecentral.com/t/27303/fondant-ballet-slippers-help

Okay, so I maybe dense, but can you tell me the exact steps to put the pattern together? I tried last night using gumpaste, and had a difficult time.
