Hi everyone, I have a cookie design question. I'd like to make cookies for a local midwife group - 3 nurse-midwives and a bunch of nurses, along with the office staff - as a thank-you gift. Aside from baby or flower cookies, I'm having trouble coming up with design ideas. Do you have any thoughts for something meaningful that relates to their line of work?
Thanks,
Allison
ANot sure of their sense of humor, but How about round cookies with the centimeters dilation chart like they have on the walls in those offices?
The Celtic motherhood knot is a beautiful design.
A Stylized drawing of a pregnant woman. A round belly with an outie belly button.
my favorite midwife saying is "midwives help people out." I'm terrible at writing on cookies, but if you're good at it, that might be a cute one.
Pickles and ice cream, the 2 most famous cravings (US anyway)? I know there's a widely available ice cream cone cookie cutter. A circle iced in green with lighter green seeds could maybe be a pickle slice. I'd make them lime flavored, not pickle though. :)
I've also seen a pregnant profile cookie cutter, although I've only seen it online, not local, and don't know what your time frame is.
ABakeat350 blog has the pickles and ice cream ones. They're adorable! She also did "bun in the oven" cookies.
Thank you for all the replies. You've inspired me. I'll post photos when I get to this set. It won't be this week, though...
