AHi it's my little girls 1st birthday next week and I need some help finding a good cake recipe. She is allergic to milk eggs and nuts and so far the recipes I've tried I'm having trouble in them rising. Does any one know a good recipe I could try please? The best I've made so far is a sprite cake but I want it to be perfect seeing as it's her 1st birthday :-) thanks

Hi Kayla1985, I don't know anyone with allergies myself so haven't tried a egg/dairy/nut recipe before. The Stay At Home Mum website here in Australia has some really good recipes for allergies etc and they do have a egg/dairy/nut free cake which might be worth a shot. If it doesn't rise too high, you could always bake two layers with filling in between. Sorry couldn't help more :) Hope your daughter has a great 1st birthday.

Fingers crossed it works out for you. I got into this whole cake world by making my son's 1st birthday cake at the start of the year. Let us know how you go x

That is a great site. Thank you daisyblue002. My daughter has developed several food allergies at 17 years old.

I'll be giving it a try too.

Oh good, I really hope you find some useful things on there - there's everything from recipes, to how to clean your washing machine or home-made detergents!! They come through on my facebook feed with new things every day. Best of luck x

ASeveral of our egg-free/dairy-free/nut-free recipes were adapted from this book (it says cupcakes but it can be used for cakes as well): http://www.amazon.com/dp/1569242739/?tag=cakecentral-20
