Would an 8 inch cake and a 9 inch cake look weird stacked together?

there's one gal who makes really tall towers with big bold colored flowers, hers are pretty cool.

 

maybe if the back side of the two cakes lined up evenly giving you an inch in front to put decorations on it would look interesting.
