Hi guys, I have this cake to make for next week and I am wondering what you would all use to make the flowers on top.

Obviously the flowers need to stick into something to make it 'dome' in this way but what would you recommend? A dome made of fondant or a polystyrene type dome? Also how will I fill in the gaps and make it look as flawless as this?

TIA xxx

I'm not real sure there's anything under those flowers at all, it's not domed enough looking for me to think it's anything but carefully arranged to look domed. But if you want, you can gt a half ball of styrofoam and do that. Or build up a mound of butter cream, or make a rice krispy treat half dome. And to fill in gaps, well, use some smaller filler flowers, or little ruffles made from circles of fondant in colors that match the flowers.
