Has anyone had to make the color guava?  I am trying to make it in chocolate for a cake pop.  It is for a wedding and they didn't send me a sample.  Just gave me a website of where they got the invitations with the color on there.  It usually looks a little different on the computer.  But I just can't seem to get the color right!  Ugh!  Anyone have any tips or help?

What have you tried already?  This reminds me of my daughters comment that all of her friends in art class think red and white make orange!  I think she learned color theory from Blue's Clues :)  I think of guava as an orange base leaning toward a deep pink.  I would start with orange and very slowly add pink or red depending on what colors you have.

That is pretty much what I did....it is pretty close, I guess.  I am just stressing because it is the first order I have done for a wedding!  The only good thing is it is just swirl on the heart shaped pops.  At least the whole pop isn't solid color!  She wouldn't send me a sample so I guess it will be what it is!  And thanks for your help.  I guess I just wanted to know if I had the right colors together.  There are so many variations of the color online that I got really frustrated.  It does almost look dark pink with a hint of orange to it.

AI made sugar cookies for a wedding and I had the same issue. The colors were coral and mint. Just like you I went online and there was quite the pallete for coral. My mom said, " It doesn't have to be that exact, does it? She's going to eat it, not wear it!" :-D

Lol, Pastrybaglady....that is funny and does make me feel better!  In fact,  I just had my Mother here to look at them to make sure they were ok.  Her exact words were, "What the heck kind of color is guava?"  And when I showed her all the variations, she said, "looks close enough to one of those variations to me"!  Guess I am stressing over nothing!

ANot for nothing, you want to do your best, but without being giving you a color swatch the bride is telling you she's not THAT concerned about an exact match. I'm sure they will be beautiful! But yeah, where do these color schemes come from... this is the first I've heard of guava being used as a color.

My take on it is .....IF they can't/don't provide a tangible sample for you then they get what YOU think is guava, or coral etc

I'm currently matching ... WATERMELON .... and the sample fabric I have been given is NOTHING like the colour of any watermelon I have seen   haha

Thanks for the feedback!  It totally makes me feel better about what I am making!  She(Mother of the bride) at first said the color was persimmon....and then she said it is guava...I was total confused....but I went with the color I mixed and it will have to do!  I know I could get a lot of business from weddings, but I am not sure I want to go there!  Lol......I probably will..............I so am a glutton for punishment!

And I can almost imagine someone asking for squid coloring!  Ugh....that really wouldn't be a pleasant looking cake!
