I am doing a 3 tired wedding cake with fresh flowers in oasis between the layers. What are the best pillars to use? I was thinking of using the spiked pillars but wasnt sure i you need to use a seporator plate with them too or just stick to the old fashioned pillars and wooden dowls.

With single-plate separators, you use the top plate only... the spikes eliminate the need for dowels.
