I'm going to be using Wilton's pre-made buttercream icing and need the color to be the burnt orange color like that of the Cleveland Browns. I'm also going to be using the Wilton gel food colorings.

Here's a link to a cake on here that shows the color I'm trying to get:

What colors should I use?  Any tips?

You'll probably just have to mix some colors. Orange and a little brown will probably get you to that color, but you will want to do a test batch first. Add the brown a little at a time until you get the right color.

This is from the Wilton website on coloring. It's the color combination for rust which is similar to burnt orange.

RUST Orange, Red Red and Brown

Thank you so much for the link. Good to know rust is similar in color. I went and picked up orange and brown :) Thanks again!

I think you will be fine with the orange and brown. Just take a little buttercream and put it in a separate bowl so you can do a color test before coloring all of it. You don't want to ruin a whole batch of buttercream!
