I have made music note fondant cake toppers and they are a little rough around the cut edges.  I was wondering if anyone has ever dipped their fondant into candy melts or if it would melt it.  I would just like to see if it will give them a smoother finish.  No time to remake them.

If you don't have time to remake them, then I would not try dipping them, in case it doesnt work. I can't see it working on fondant. You can wet your finger and rub the rough edges to smooth them. Or even with a clean nail file - file it a bit if it is really hard. Then go over it with a damp wide brush to even out the color again.
