Hello, I am making a 3D Dora cake in which she will be sitting upright. The body will be cake covered with fondant. I want to make her arms out of RKT covered in fondant. Does anyone have suggestions on how to attach the arms to the body? This is my first go at RKT. Will the RKT just stick to the fondant or do I need to "glue" or use wire to attach it? Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Anytime I see the Food Network Challenges and the RKT are attached to the side of a figurine, I see they are pushed in with dowels. I think they will be too heavy to just attach with gum glue, and the wire is too flimsy. It may just cut right through your cake. You may want to reinforce it with some white chocolate where the arms meet the cake.
AHow big is your cake going to be? You might want to consider some internal structure to build the RKT around.
The body of the cake will be ~7 inches tall using 6" cake pans. The whole cake including the head will be ~11-12 inches tall. I think using dowels is a good Idea which would also provide some internal support for the arms as well. Thank you so much for suggestions!
