Let me start by saying, I LOVE Cake Central! I've been lurking, checking out cakes, and I just signed up for an account so I can stop lurking!
I was just wondering though, is there a Facebook group? I'm a part of blogging groups on Facebook, and it's so helpful! I'd be so happy to find out there was a cake decorating group! It's so much easier to access than coming to a forum, mainly because I have the app on my phone and it's always there!
If someone knows of a group (whether it's an official Cake Central group or a personal cake-related group), I would be so grateful!!
TIA!!

AI've heard there are groups, but I wouldn't know how to find them - my (anti)social media experience is limited (I still can't figure out Twitter). Sorry I'm no help - other than to tell you they are definitely there.
Thank you! I've done searches, but it usually comes up with nothing useful! I'm more likely to find cake pages to "like" than I am to find interactive groups.
Hi there !!
If you haven't found it yet ..yes there is a Facebook Page ..I just typed it in to the search bar in my fb page and it popped up!!!
I did find some, actually! I did a search for "cake", then hit "more results", and it gave me the option to look at groups! I had no idea Facebook had that option, I had to google it. I found a few that I requested to be added to!
I find Cake central to be very accessible and easy to use on my phone. The one group I joined could be characterized as the blind leading the blind. And if you gave them the right answer to a question, five people would jump on you in support of the wrong answer. It was kind of sad and felt a little like I'd run across an alternate universe. If you don't already know what you're doing, going to a group like that might not be the best idea.
Edit: I'm just referring to "cake support" type groups - not groups like local ICES groups or other groups with a purpose
AI had the same experience, it might have been a week at best until I had to unclick from the group!
AFB is great for smaller groups based on a relatively specialized topic or for a specific local area, but it does not work well at all for large-scale discussion forums. It is pretty easy to access CakeCentral on a smartphone by just creating a bookmark in the phone's web browser.
i just love the way you spell your name kathryn j
signed,

and to your point--clearly cake central is a controlled substance aka addictive--
i can leave for months or years and here i am again--when it's good it's a very very good place ♥
I see what you all mean! I joined 3 groups, and they all seem to be spam? It's nothing but people posting JUNK. Links and more links to their blogs and other stuff. There is nothing constructive! I also saw a couple questions asked that were answered with some questionable responses! I guess I'll just have to suck it up and stick around here! Let's see how well this site works with my phone! Thanks, all!
