Hi everyone! I have a question about a smash cake. I am making one for  a babies first birthday and I'm not sure what type of frosting to do. This is my first smash cake to do and I know that children are still developing so I am a little confused which frosting to do. I know SMBC would be light, but I worry since the child is so young. I could do AB but that might be heavy. Anybody have any suggestions?

The color is also red and I worry about the red getting everywhere. Any tips on this would be great. Thank you everyone!!

Hello. Sorry to do this, but can anyone give me  advise on the red coloring and frosting? Thank you :)

I don't recommend red for a smash cake.  It will get everywhere, is very difficult to remove and may stain the child's skin.

Hi Norasmom. Thank you for the advise. That is what I thought would happen with the red. I'm wondering if I could go with a light blue since the party is for a boy..
