AOK guys, I got this unusual cake question today. Does anyone know if there is a cake bakery that delivers all over the US. Sort of like 1-800 flowers delivers?
I have a person who wants to create cakes and send them to CEOs of his companies (he's a salesman) with a picture of their linked in pages (screen shot from computer).. so basically he needs a custom cake, one that has an edible image, that can be delivered.
My only thought to him was to find local bakeries that would take orders over the phone and deliver- but I told him I would ask the genius ladies over at Cake Central. Any ideas on this one guys?
AI wouldn't trust the quality and durability of a custom cake delivered through the mail, especially if the cakes are being delivered to the CEOs of my client companies. Your suggestion of finding reputable local bakeries is the way to go.
One other thing to note is that the LinkedIn logo design is copyrighted, so any reputable bakery that prints edible images would need permission before duplicating it.
I don't agree about the quality and durability. Many reputable and good quality cake companies deliver. Check out the Williams-Sonoma catalog.
caroline's an "oprah favorite things" baker, also ships, for example
ACaroline's does not offer custom decoration for their cakes (they are mass-produced, not custom made), so an edible image would not be possible.
