Can you all please help me.  I have a cake and it is kind of dry after making it.  Can someone please tell me how to make a cake more moist after baking.

Thanks

AHey.. you can try brushing some simple syrup on the cake. Simple syrup is equal amount of water and sugar, bring it to boil and allow it to cool. Brush on the cake ..it keeps the cake moist.

AI always bake my cakes ahead of time. After they come out of the oven I immediately wrap it good in saran wrap and freeze. They are always moist

Hi SweetIndulgence, if you don't have time to bake the cake again (and you might not need to if it's not that dry), I use the sugar syrup Bake a Dream mentioned above (you can flavour the syrup according to your cake eg add lemon juice, strawberry preserve) or a liqueur if that's appropriate.  After that the  next best way to help distract from a dry cake is to use plenty of filling!

As to why your cake came out dry in the first place, you may have left it a little too long in the oven (your recipe might have been wrong on baking times or your oven temp may have been too high.) Hope this helps!
