I don't see why not. As long as you have a cardboard cake circle under the cake, then lay it on the contact paper covered cake board. That way if there is anything that is not food safe in the contact paper, it won't come in contact with the cake. :grin:

Yes, it'll be fine.  Just be sure that anything that will be eaten doesn't sit on the Contact paper.
