AHi. Im about to start my course 2 class this coming monday and still not decided whether or not to purchase the KIT because it is quite pricey. So im thinking of ALTERNATIVE for each item included in the kit. Any ideas or suggestions will be HIGHLY APPRECIATED.... :)

When I took the Wilton courses I found this website to be really useful:

Whether you need each of the items depends on what you hope to take away from the class. For instance, the fondant press was really a one time use item for me, we used it in the first class and I haven't looked at it since. Same thing for the lily formers and stamens.

Wilton just brought out a new flower former/storage case which I think looks more useful than the wave formers you get in the kit. And you may have some of the other tools already. But of course if you can use a 40% off coupon at Joann/Michaels/Hobby Lobby the cost of the kit becomes comparable to buying the items individually.
