Glittery cake pops?

I have to make glittery cake pops for a sweet 16, and have found a lot of people use disco dust to get the shine. I know it's not edible and was wondering if anyone has an alternative method that works to get them glittery.

Sanding sugar...I did a few just today.

It might not be EXACTLY what your client is asking for, but at least it's edible. HTH

I think quite a few people crush up sanding sugar to a finer powder and use that too. I think the sanding sugar looks pretty sparkly :)
