Ruffle wedding cake. How much?

How much you guys think this cake should cost? 6" & 8"

I would pay about $85 for that cake, because of the roses and the cake base.

Yes, 85 is a great price. also for the time consuming ruffles. very pretty

I still say charge by the # of servings and those sizes would serve 40 (if I remember right) so 40 x $3 = $120.

Your roses are very nice and the whole thing done well.

Actually, I think I may have been off on my estimates, although it's not a huge cake.  I charge more per serving for my bigger cakes  (it's a stress charge :-D)  I hope you feel you charged enough.  If you don't think you charged enough, you didn't!

I charge more per serving for my little cakes. Those average out to ten to twelve a serving (although I don't sell them by a per serving price, just a total, usually my minimum). 50 servings and over come out around $6

I was thinking around $85 but I was not sure if its too much or too less.

In upstate SC, that cake would run about $90. I would charge almost $200. 2 bakeries in mu area would charge $170, 3 other bakeries in Charleston would charge about $225, and one would charge $316.

See where I'm going with this? Prices will vary. Pricing is difficult, but you'll need to decide for yourself what you charge. I know it's a broken record, but do you know your costs? At $80, how much profit will you be making? Is your time worth that profit?

It's never "just cake!"

You may get a cake for $way to little but you won't get this cake!

Depends on whether you want to make a decent wage or $1 an hour I guess.

If that is a 6" & 8", it would serve 32-35 people. I'd charge $112 for it.

Thank you everyone!. I was thinking about close to $90.  Sorry for the late response.

If you have an expensive buttercream recipe you may want to consider that this technique uses a lot of it.
