Baisically... im in yr9 now and at the end of the year i need to choose my options for school.

And i want to be a baker or a chef but i'm not sure what qualifications i need so far i'm going to pick food and catering and also buissness  studies but i'm not sure what else.

Any ideas?

I forgot to say that in america you would say 9 th grade (sorry i live in london)
 

Hi, tbh anything for GCSE's will be fine. Maybe when you get to your A-levels and further you can try to plan for subjects that you think will help your career. I did science and maths a levels but now make wedding cakes, so it's not a field that you have to be super strict in qualifications wise.

As long as you get good grades, you'll be fine to get on a cooking/pastry course in the future.

The grades are what matters most, pick the subjects you will do best in. If you don't already have to pick a foreign language, choose one so that you have more chance of getting an overseas stage (internship), I'd suggest French if you want to go into pastry.

The culinary school that Jamie Oliver attended only requires 3 GCSEs at grade E or better, just as an FYI.
