AHey guys!!
So any ideas on how you would make a lipstick cake??? What pans should I use? Haven't done one before and I want to try it out . If anyone has ANY tips would be very helpful! Thank you!!! Here is a picture of the one they want
wow....I think I would do the base out of 4" round cakes..."wrap" the fondant instead of "cover"...then I'd try to find Styrofoam for the lipstick part and cover in fondant.
I just did a lip gloss cake that was lying down and ddaigle is right. use 4 inch pans. l used 6 inch pans and it was quite long to make sure that I had the right proportions. Michaels has 4 inch spring pans that u could use. If you don't want to use styrofoam use RKTs with a thick dowel stuck in and through whole cake and cover with mod choc and fondant. Some also use royal icing to cover RKT. good luck and post pics!
The item is 5 times as high as it is wide.
That means if you make a 6" cake, it needs to be 30" tall.
Do you want the entire thing to be cake???
How many people is it for?
First figure out how much has to be cake. Then we can figure out which parts to make in styrofoam.
