I would like to invest in a printer to use edible ink in. I'm torn between two printers: Canon Pixma IX6520 and Epson XP 400. Does anyone here have either one of these printers or one that is similar and can offer any advice. I'd rather not spend a fortune on the printer but I would like to get a good one. Please help!!!!

I don't have either, but  I do have a Cannon MG5200.  I love it....I have not had a problem with heads clogging even though it may be a month or 2 between uses...So I'm happy with my Cannon if that helps you at all...

AI have the ix6520. Love mine. I especially love how big it is.

It is temperamental in that it will refuse to print if the cartridge is a tiny bit less than 1/2 full. Be sure to order ink & refill ink from icing images. They are awesome.

I also once had a clogged print head. Icing images walked me through how to clean it so I didn't have to replace it.

I am not affiliated with them at all. Just very happy customer.

Oh! I also love that everything closes up. Nothing had to be exposed to the room. I do still put a cover on it, but don't think I really need it.
