AHello everyone!

This is my first post here and here is my first question, hoping you can help me. I live in Rome and I've been using Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix when I bake for myself. Now, my friends have started to ask me to make cakes for them but I don't want to keep using Betty Crocker because here in Europe is expensive (8 dollars per box). Do you know a good and yummi recipe I can do at home that taste and feel like BC (or even better). I will really appreciate your ideas!!! Francesca

One of the cakes I usually make is the "madeira cake" with different home made red fruit syrups. Is really tasty and very good if you have to carve the cake. You can easily find the recipe if you google the name.

Try this recipe from one of the CC Moderators.  It is sooo good.  And the ingredients are hopefully widely available.  Good luck!
