SO I got an order for a shoe cake yesterday and they want it Tuesday. I have decided to try to do my first gumpaste shoe and a shoe box. If that doesn't work out I have a shoe pan. So I bought cheap shoes and disassembled one to use as a form. So far so good. I added tons of tylose to my gumpaste and placed my sole and heel under a heat lamp to speed up drying. I want to put a label in the shoe using a printed transfer sheet. Her last name is Lamb so I am doing "Lamb Couture" which I thought was really cute. The shoe is going to be bright blue disco dust, with Swarovski crystal elements.

Questions....what is best to make disco dust stick? Egg whites? Also the lady said her favorite colors were green, yellow and blue.  I'm trying to figure out how to work yellow and green into the theme somehow and still make it look couture? I really don't see how...I think the shoebox should be classic colors. I was thinking white with a shimmer dust gold lid. Will I be able to put an icing transfer over gold shimmer dust paint? Will I be able to stick the icing sheet label onto dry gumpaste inside the shoe? I have watched several tutorials. Wish me luck and any suggestions are welcome.

I love that most of my customers give me free reign with design. That makes it so fun.

Ok..here is my first shoe. Still needs some work but not bad for my first try. Decided to forego the disco dust and use luster dust instead once it is dry. Trying to decide what to put on it...

As13, spring, shoes, stiletto, sergio rossi, blue, green, yellow, heel, 2013, designer shoes |2013 F... - http://pinterest.com/pin/529102656192793334/ Here is an example of a blue green and yellow shoe. Not that you can copy it, but to take inspiration from it. Maybe you could include one of the colors underneath the show louboutin style
