AMy family usually comes over every Sunday for a family dinner at my house. Tomorrow tho, my mom and I and my sisters are traveling 2 hours away to bury my aunt. My sister in law will be cooking our dinner so we can have it when we get back. I usually make the desserts because they are my testers lol. Tomorrow I wanted to try a WASC on them but I won't have time to bake it. Can I bake it tonight, wrap it up and store in the fridge or freezer and then throw some icing on it when I get home? Thanks :)

Of course.  You can easily bake 2-3 weeks ahead and freeze.

If you have time, I would frost it tonight.  Then it will be ready for you when you get home.  Also, because the frosting will help seal your cake from drying out.  You don't have to refrigerate/freeze it if you crumb coat it or frost it tonight.

AOk thanks. So if I frost it with buttercream tonight I can just leave it out until tomorrow evening? Will it hurt to refrigerate it with buttercream? I'm leaving my hubs alone tomorrow with the kids lol. It prob won't survive if its all ready frosted lol

Yes, mam.  I never refrigerate my cakes, just my preference.  All my cakes sit out at room temperature. Have a good hiding place? lol

AI will probably just frost them when I get home tomorrow. So I don't have to take any chances of them eating it all lol. I think I will have time for that since I'm not the one cooking dinner for a change lol
