Help with increasing sponge receipe

Hi

I have this receipe for a 8" round cake but need it to be a 10"
This may be a silly question but how much of each would I need instead??
It's a sponge cake

340g self raising flour
280g caster sugar
280g butter
5 eggs
3 tablespoons of milk

Also it states a 150 temp for the oven should I increase this? I'm guessing it would be 180 from other bits I've seen online.

And cooking times for this receipe state 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 mins. Would this change also?

Need it to be in uk measurements not good at converting from u.s

Hiya, if you google cylinder volume calculator you can work out that the volume of your 10inch pan is a little over 1.5 times the volume of your 8inch pan so a 10inch recipe should be roughly:

540g self raising flour
440g caster sugar
440g butter
7.5 eggs
5 tablespoons of milk

I would bake at 150 still and just bake for longer, test it after an hour and 15mins with a bamboo skewer. Hope that helps icon_smile.gif
