Cost for a cake

Thread Starter

How much would you charge for a 9x13 slab cake, swiss meringue buttercream and gumpaste flowers?...

I want to be competitive with pricing, but also not too cheap or too expensive.

Thank you for anyone that can help.

Look through the pricing forums. Jason Kraft has one on his blog. We can't tell you what your costs are, figure up your ingredients, time (including shopping, baking, decorating, cleanup, etc.), overhead, boards, boxes, skill level.

There. Their. They're not the same.

I hope I die before "your" becomes the official contraction of "you are."

In addition to the other advice, I would base your pricing on how many flowers you make and how labor intensive they are to create (worked into your labor costs).
