I was wondering if anyone knew of or cold help me, I'm planing on making a laying baby deer cake, for a snow white photoshoot I'm having.

It's a cake i've wanted to make for a long time now but unsure on how to go about it.

I read that one baker used RKT for the head and neck of the deer but I was also wondering if I could make the head out of cake and have dowls and a cake board holding it up?

TIA - I would love if I got some feedback about where to start with this cake x

AHi I've never attempted carving anything as large as a deer, but personally I would not use cake for the neck, head or legs, I would just use cake for the body, you would not only have to use a rod through the neck but would also have to support the head with a board I would think if you made it from cake. I think you could possibly get away with just using a rod to support the neck and head if you used RKT. HTH :-)
