What are some other ways to advertise outside of Facebook?? I see that I don't get a lot of orders from facebook. So I am looking for other ways to advertise and show my business. My business in an online delivery one.
AVery interesting business idea.
I would probably start by talking to a professional web designer, there is some room for improvement on your web site. First and foremost, your order form (or a link to an order form) should be more prominent on every product page. You may want to look into e-commerce functionality as well, there are some third-party sites you could partner with (like Foodoro.com).
My next step would be talking to local venues (restaurants, bars, event spaces) to find a partner that could host a cupcake bar on an ongoing basis. A business like this really needs a spot where the general public can try it out. Hotels and banquet halls that host weddings and other events would also be good targets.
To get more catering jobs, you can look at what types of services you would be replacing and buy online advertising (e.g. Google AdWords) targeted locally for keywords relating to these services. A SEO or marketing professional can help you put together a campaign if you don't have this expertise in-house.
AIt is an interesting concept, I like the way your making a more upscale cupcake with the bar. Jason knows a lot about Marketing! I'm still working on my website-I've been selling mainly by word of mouth and I've been keeping fairly busy but I'm still trying to expand.
In my area there are many small business groups that are always throwing Vendor Shows. I did a cash and carry event at a spa, they booked in advance and held the event in the evening so I made grown up girly cupcakes just to get my name out there. There are many other groups I've actually found via FB and invited myself to :) sometimes I have to rent a spot others are free (rarely but the costs are like $25). I've donated cakes and gift certificates to the YMCA Black Tie Auction, Humane Society Auctions, etc. just smaller certificates so I can up sell and make some money-regardless I'm getting some exposure.
I don't know if these ideas will work for you, I'm not sure they're the best use of my time and money but I have seen return in the past and they helped me get going. Hopefully utilizing my webpage and attending more Bridal Shows will help my area.
and I know you are not asking for tips on your website, but the background makes it kindof hard for me to read. perhaps you could scale down the opacity?
AI think you have a very unique approach, which you could definitely use to get people to notice you, but I agree that your website needs work first.
I sorry, I have to ditto the remarks about your website, it doesn't sell your product well.
Ideas:
Contact every party planner you can find and show them your business, offer a discount on the first party they book you for, etc...
This concept would be HUGE with bar mitzvahs so you want to target party planners who focus on doing bar mitzvahs.
I know there are ice cream companies that market as ice bars just like your cupcake bar, check them out. You could find leads through their websites as to whom they are working with.
If there are Jewish Temples in your area ask if you can put your business cards on their community activity board.
Offer a free cupcake bar to the larger Temples in your area for a holiday event where they eat in Temple.........than hand out cards....
Check out www.foiledcupcakes.com in Chicago. They've got a similar concept of delivery only cupcakes....see what you can learn from their site.
AConsidering several cupcakes contain alcohol you may also want to look into the requirements for liquor licensing, especially if you will be serving them directly to consumers at a bar.
ATo touch on Stitches post, Foiled does all its marketing via social media, they've been featured in lots of articles online where they discussed their advertising strategy which you can easily find on google. I think you have the same kind of concept as them.
