I have to bake a cake for an old age home and my one stipulation is "no food colouring" as it may interfere with their medications. Can anyone suggest what to use for a 'gold' colour - I have been experimenting with tumeric, cocoa and plain alcohol mix, but feel that maybe mixing in egg white would give it a sheen. I am using the gold to paint onto chocolate leaves. Ideas anyone...?
