Airbrushed Cake In The Fridge - Problems?
Decorating By dukeswalker Updated 20 Aug 2013 , 3:38pm by Neophyte
In AZ, I always place my fondant covered cakes in the fridge without a single problem - the heat is just too much and even our "indoor" temps tend to be higher than the rest of the US. If I were to airbrush some dried fondant pieces, and place them on my cake - would the colors bleed or run after taking the cake out of the fridge?
TIA!
I am in Louisiana....today the humidity will be 97%. I feel like I'm back in Panama....anyway...I constantly refrigerate airbrushed cakes. Overnight even. No problems here. My house refrigerator keeps my cakes super dry.
AThanks for the reply! Do you experience any dripping/running of colors due to condensation when you take it out of the fridge?
Debbie, which brand fridge do you have? You've mentioned it a few times; thought it might be helpful for others to know the specifics. I, for one, am curious.
Whew! Good to know! Thought I might have to invest in some uppity fridge in the future.
